Why Trade Cryptocurrency CFDs

Cryptocurrencies, like any currency, offer a medium of exchange utilising cryptography, a technique that acts to protect the transfer of data.
Bitcoin was the first significant cryptocurrency and was developed by Satoshi Nakamoto (an alias). The currency was designed for privacy and the creator wanted it to be decentralised.

Margin trading

Another massive plus point is the fact that Hantec Markets offers cryptocurrency trading on margin, which means you get more for your money. Trading physical crypto can be expensive, one Bitcoin is worth around $9K. You are able to trade this asset with a fraction of that amount.

No Disruption

Trading cryptocurrencies is different from traditional fiat. You need to have digital wallets ready to hold your coins. Also, you will sometimes need to change your holdings back to Bitcoin after trading some altcoins.

Cryptocurrencies trading conditions

Have questions? We can help

Since its inception in 2008, Bitcoin’s value has risen dramatically. This led to speculators betting on the value of BTC/USD to rise over time and now it is used as a trading instrument. There are now thousands of digital coins available to trade, including XRP, Ether, Bitcoin Cash and more.

Blockchain and cryptocurrencies are two different things. Blockchain is the technology and cryptocurrencies are the assets. The cryptocurrencies are traded on their respective blockchain networks. This is only the case when buying or selling physical cryptocurrencies.

You can trade cryptocurrency CFD’s in the same way you trade any other CFD.

  • When you believe the price will rise, you click to buy (ask price) on your MT4 platform ticket.
  • If you think it will fall, you can click to sell (bid price).

If you are new to cryptocurrency trading it’s important to understand the relative volatility of the asset class. Cryptos can move fast and sometimes it is hard to know why (hacks, legal and regulatory changes, etc.).

On the MT4 platform, you can open your trade ticked. The ask represents the buying price and the bid represents the selling price. You choose the direction you think the price will go and enter your trade.

If you need any help in your cryptocurrency trading journey Hantec Markets will be happy to help.
